            Our adoption story thus far...(in a nutshell)

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

            Before we got married we knew that we would someday adopt children. However, we did not realize that “someday” was now today. God again opened our hearts to adoption in September 2009 and within 2 months of deciding to move forward with the process of adoption, our doctor informed us that we are not able to have children by birth.  Although we were deeply saddened by the news, we feel so blessed that God placed adoption in our hearts at the perfect time! We also believe that God is a God of miracles and He could still bless us with a biological child someday too!

            It has been exactly a year since we first started the very long paper trail of adoption paper work. We worked on what seemed like endless applications and letters. We were fingerprinted twice, had multiple meetings with our social worker for our home study process, and completed many hours of online adoption education as well as special training in AIDS/HIV. At this time we are just waiting for our child’s referral! We are on a wait list for a healthy child and at the same time could receive a phone call any day now with a referral for a child with special needs and/or HIV positive.

Please continue to pray for us as we complete this journey. Our hearts wait anxiously in anticipation of becoming parents to the special little one(s) whom God has for us.
